And JUSTICE for ALL -- CWF Mid-Atlantic's "Absolute Justice" saw title changes, surprising wins and newcomers debuting. In the main event, Trevor Lee submitted Andrew Everett after 39 minutes of high-flying, technical expertise. Nick Richards may have finally closed the door on his lengthy feud with Kamakazi Kid in a Last Man Standing Match. Aric Andrews escaped with the CWF Worldwide TV Title in his challenge to Smith Garrett (Chet Sterling was also in this bout). Big upset in the opener as Coach Gemini's newest find, Mace Maeda, captured the RGL Championship in a four-way contest. Jesse Adler was the champion coming in but not going out. Randy Hedrick was there to catch all this excitement.

Another title change occurred when Aaron Biggs & Mecha Mercenary won the CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship. The team they defeated, "Ace" Arik Royal & "Assassin" Ray Kandrack, had been long-standing titleholders. It was Biggs' first CWF title win of any sort. Of course, Snooty Fox was there, and he disposed of everybody's thorn in their side, Ethan Alexander Sharpe. Finally, White Mike won a CWF Mid-Atlantic match, surviving his own open challenge gauntlet-style affair. Him was one of his foes. Not them, just Him. And there are now two Number Men. If you look back at CWF's history, "two" does not do that number justice.

All this great action took place last Saturday (6/18) in Gibsonville, NC @ the regionally famous Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium. On July 9th at 7:30 pm, CWF Mid-Atlantic returns with "Opportunity Knocks," the beginning of this summer's Weaver Cup Tournament action, in Gibsonville's Sportatorium.

CONVENTION CRAZE -- In last week's Carolinas News, Notes & Analysis (which ran on June 16th), we mentioned just two of the wrestling conventions coming to NC this year. The earliest one is actually next month and will be held in Wilmington, NC @ the Coastline Convention Center. On Saturday July 23rd, Masters of the Ring Entertainment, LLC will be hosting its own Pro Wrestling Fan Expo and a two hour show. What is dynamic about this marketing group is that it is composed almost entirely of female executives. At 2 pm that day, there will be a matinee show occurring as well. Our own GWH contributor Velvet Jones will step in to the ring to face Mark James. 

Here are some of the guests coming into Wilmington for the expo: DDP, EC3, Gunner, Awesome Kong, Santana Garrett and Sabu. On the evening of July 23rd, a special two hour show will be staged, and that main event already has been announced. In a match to determine the inaugural Masters of the Ring Entertainment champion, Jeff Jarrett does battle with EC3 and James Storm. An expo only ticket will cost $20. Combine that with the show that evening, and your cost increases to $40. Meets and greets with the superstars (for example, Diamond Dallas Page) can run $20 for the signature and $35 for an added photo. Someone knows how to make $$$$.

ROSS IS the BOSS -- Good ol' JR is coming back to NC. Jim Ross is a multi-diversified announcer/journalist with years spent in NWA/WCW/WWE and now New Japan Pro Wrestling. He has been contacted and will appear in Asheviile, NC and its suburbs on June 29th through July 1st. He will not be alone though. Joining him for the kickoff event in Asheville (6/29) will be fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Garvin (inducted with the Fabulous Freebirds). The appearance is part of Ingles' "Headlock on Hunger" Food Drive. Ross and Garvin will be on hand from 4:30-7:30 pm at the Tunnel Road location of Ingles (a regional grocery store).
